The 5th European Conference on Positive Psychology is jointly hosted by the Danish School of Education, Aarhus University, with its main campus in Copenhagen, and the Danish Network for Positive Psychology.

The Danish School of Education at the University of Aarhus, headed by Dean Lars Qvortrup, is the largest educational research faculty in Denmark and was established in 2007 by the merger of the Danish University of Education and the University of Aarhus. Most research and study activities at the School of Education are located at the campus in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, but a growing number of activities are blooming from the campus in Aarhus, Denmark's second largest city. The Aarhus University has currently 35.000 students.

The Danish Network for Positive Psychology was established recently as a consequence of the growing interest for Positive Psychology in Denmark. 

The conference is chaired by Hans Henrik Knoop, Associate Professor at Aarhus University,  Research Director at Universe Research Lab and member of IPPA Board of Directors and member of ENPP Executive Committee. In addition to this Hans Henrik is also the Chairman of the newly founded organisation The Danish Network for Positive Psychology.

Practical coordination of the conference is in the firm hands of Chief Secretary, Gitte Bjerre Poulsen - gbp@universeresearchlab.dk - of Universe Research Lab - in collaboration with ICS, International Conference Services, Denmark.

In the light of the recent problems due to Icelandic volcano ashes cancelling several flights around the world, the organisers would like to draw the participants' attention to the following notification: the conference will not be cancelled due to weather conditions; general strikes; absence of keynote speakers etc. No matter the circumstances the conference will take place at the announced dates.
