no brooding hamlets here

For years several studies have succeeded in proving Shakespeare wrong: there are no brooding Hamlets in Denmark! And indeed a recent article in USA Today supports the widespread view on the happy Danes although interviews with Danes suggest it might be a bit more complex. In addition to offering some interesting views on happiness in Denmark, the article also provides the readers with information on Copenhagen and the Danes.

'Copenhagen has plenty to make tourists smile, as well. The compact and walkable city of 679,000 boasts historic buildings, great public transport and notably helpful residents. Copenhagen was voted most popular port by Princess Cruises passengers in 2009 — the first time a European city won that honor', it says in the article in USA Today.

The organisers promise all ECPP-particpants that 'there is nothing rotten in the State of  Denmark' and wish you all a pleasant stay.
