TOPICS AND KEY DATES

The Scientific Committee hereby invites abstract submissions from faculty, researchers and students in all fields of positive psychology.

All fields of positive psychology may be addressed but submitters are encouraged to aim the abstracts at the conference subthemes:

  • Evidence-based educational and professional application, and misapplication
  • Positive work-life
  • Positive health
  • Cross-cultural and universal perspectives on positive psychology – what is the optimal balance?
  • Nordic issues: Societies and institutional analysis
  • The media – how they are energizing and depressing people
  • The environment – what is the contribution of Positive Psychology?
  • Art and Science in Positive Psychology
  • And on the far side: Positive Psychology – is it a girl?
  • Positive psychology towards 2025: strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats

The submissions can be targetted for presentations in symposia, as individual papers, in workshops, and as posters. Presentation proposals can be focused on theoretical models or on empirical research studies.

The abstract submission constitutes a formal commitment by the author to present the corresponding presentation in the session and timeslot assigned by the Scientific Committee.


KEY DATES

15th May 2010: FINAL notification sent to all presenters indicating the day and time of their presentation and providing procedures for check-in at the Conference speakers' desk, review of audio-visual materials and set-up of posters and displays.

15th March 2010:
Individuals who have been notified that their abstracts have been accepted must confirm their intention to present by this deadline. Confirmation must be received by the Conference Secretary by this date, accompanied by all necessary forms, including conference registration form and balance of registration fee, curriculum vitae summary and audio-visual request form.

15th March 2010: Early Bird Registration closes.

28 February 2010: Notification sent to all individuals who submitted abstracts, advising whether their presentation has been accepted. Registration material and audio-visual request form will accompany notice.

15th January 2010: Deadline for abstract submission extended.Please note that the deadline will not be extended further.

31st December 2009: Deadline for submission of abstracts. Earlier submission is strongly encouraged.
